Find out where and when we meet and what we are doing just now.

Established around 1960 (we are not sure of the exact date - can anyone help?), our club exists to promote the hobby of Railway Modelling in and around Perth. We meet every Thursday evening at our club room near Kinfauns in Perthshire and always welcome new members to come along for a look around before joining.

We have 4 exhibition standard layouts at the moment and have been planning our new project "Laurencekirk", based on the actual station on the ECML set in the 1960's and will begin construction soon. Correspondent's Note: Laurencekirk was a station (shortly to be rebuilt) on the Caley's line from Carlisle to Aberdeen, and is therefore (historically speaking) a WCML location. It closed the same day as the Strathmore main line.  Also discussed and about to be constructed, something Irish.......watch this site for more details soon.  The layout will be called "Old Blarney" and will be making its debut at A Celebration of Model Railways 2009 in Perth.

We run what is fast becoming the most successful provincial model railway exhibition in Scotland "A Celebration of Model Railways" always held in Dewars Ice Rink in Perth over the last weekend in June. The next exhibition will be on June 27th & 28th, 2009. We also attend around 12 exhibitions every year with one of our layouts, venturing as far north as Elgin and as far south as Warley (in 2009).

We are active members of The Association of Model Railways Scotland (AMRSS) and participate every year in the national exhibition Model Rail Scotland held at the SECC Glasgow over the last weekend in February.
