Perth & District MRC is a Registered Charity No. SC045282

Established around 1960, our club exists to promote the hobby of Railway Modelling in and around Perthshire, Scotland. We meet some Mondays and every Thursday evening at our workshop at Perth Airport, Scone, near Perth and always welcome new members to come along for a look around before joining. Our workshop is also open to members at any time.

We have 8 exhibition standard layouts at the moment, described on this site and are completing one major project at present: "Laurencekirk", based on Laurencekirk on the "WCML", north of Montrose, set in the late 1950's - early 1960's which made its debut in November 2013 but still requires some work to fully complete it. We are also planning our next N scale American layout, a German HO layout and have started refurbishment of a German N gauge layout "Wörthersee" owned by one of our members which has not been seen on the exhibition circuit in Scotland before. Also, watch out for news of an American O Gauge layout....

Additionally, maintenance work on the existing layouts keep us busy throughout the year. We have some photos and video of our layouts on this site - have a look at our layout pages!

We run one of the most eagerly anticipated and reputable model railway exhibitions in Scotland "A Celebration of Model Railways" always held in Dewars Ice Rink in Perth over the last weekend in June. This exhibition is the biggest club-run exhibition in Scotland. A selection of high quality layouts from throughout the UK, some appearing in Scotland for the first time and a wide selection of specialised trade stands awaits our visitors. See more details elsewhere on this site.

Our next exhibition is on Saturday June 25th & Sunday June 26th, 2016.

We also attend around 12 exhibitions every year throughout the UK and our diary is available from this website.
